Mountain Migration Guide
Migrate your App Store version to our direct sales version…
Apple has activated sandboxing on the Mac App Store. Under the sandboxing rules, we can no longer release new versions of Mountain to the App Store. However, you can easily migrate your App Store version to our direct sales version of Mountain at no cost. To migrate to the direct sales version, please choose from one of the following options:
Option 1) - Automatic Migration
- Make sure you have the latest Mac App Store version of Mountain installed. Click here to go to the Mac App Store, now.
- Run Mountain at least once. Then quit Mountain. (Every user on the machine who wants to run Mountain in the future needs to run the Mac App Store version at least once.)
- Download the direct sales version of Mountain here.
- Optionally delete the App Store version in your /Applications folder using Finder and move the direct sales version from your download folder to the /Application folder.
- Run the direct sales version of Mountain. It should run without any limitations. Enjoy!!
Option 2) - Generate a license file
- Make sure you have the latest Mac App Store version of Mountain installed. Click here to go to the Mac App Store, now.
- Use Finder to navigate to the /Applications folder and locate the Mountain.app bundle.
- Drag and drop the Mountain.app on the area below.
- Enter your name and email and generate your personal license file. (Your email will be used to send you your license file.)
- Download the direct sales version of Mountain here.
- Optionally delete the App Store version in your /Applications folder using Finder and move the direct sales version from your download folder to the /Applications folder.
- Run the direct sales version of Mountain and double click your license file to register. Enjoy!!
